Founded in 2018, The Crypt emerged from a humble Halloween house party hosted by founder Davis Page (Dalle, Space Monkey) and a crew of college graduates and dropouts near ASU campus. What began as "House in the Crypt"—named for the house music that filled the rooms—quickly evolved into a movement within Phoenix's underground electronic music scene.
Building on their initial success, The Crypt expanded beyond house parties to produce warehouse shows and club events, eventually establishing their formative residency at the Graffiti Room in downtown Phoenix. Though the Graffiti Room closed in February 2024 after a year and a half run, this only fueled the collective's ambition to grow further.
Since its inception, The Crypt has hosted acclaimed talents including JoyRyde, Wyatt Marshall, Dipzy, Kendoll, Dennett, and many others. The crew has established themselves as a collective of passionate music producers, promoters, and event coordinators dedicated to elevating Phoenix's electronic music landscape.
